We are a three piece Pop-Rock-Folk band located in Tours city (France) We are currently unsigned. |
Trio pop-rock-folk composé de Alex (guitare, chant, composition), Gaël (batterie, guitare), l'univers de Kochka est à la fois énergique et sincère, à la croisée de ceux de Jeff Buckley, Lifehouse, Damien Rice, Noir Désir et Radiohead.
Des textes passionnés, forts et fragiles à la fois, faisant corps avec un son en demi-teintes dont se dégage une vision sensible du monde et des petites choses qui font la magie du quotidien.
Au départ, Alex composait des chansons personnelles avec son plaisir pour seule et néanmoins grande exigence.
Puis, le répertoire s'étoffant, l'envie de le faire partager à d'autres et avec d'autres musiciens s'est faite pressante.
Après sa rencontre en mars 2007 sur Myspace avec Gaël (aussi clavier dans le groupe de jazz Bellanger quartet), Yohann (le premier bassiste) rejoint le groupe.
A partir de là tout est allé vite, Kochka a enregistré 3 mois plus tard une démo 8 titres chez Gaël qui pour l'occasion s'est occupé de la partie ingé son.
Ensuite, Romain (bassiste) a pour quelques concerts succédé à Yohann, parti rejoindre ses racines Brestoises.
Les membres de Kochka brûlent de vous faire plonger dans leurs ambiances passionnées.
Three piece Pop-Rock-Folk band made up of Alex (guitar, vocals, songwriting), Gaël (drums, guitar), Kochka's world is both energetic and open-hearted, meeting those of Jeff Buckley, Lifehouse, Damien Rice, Noir Désir and Radiohead.
Passionate lyrics, strong and fragile, melting in a half tone sound from which comes out a sensitive vision of the world and the magic little thing that make everyday's life.
First, Alex was writting personal songs with his pleasure for only and nevertheless great requirement.
Then, the amount of songs increasing, the desire to share it along with fellow musicians was growing.
In March 2007, Alex met Gaël (also playing keyboards in Bellanger quartet jazz band) on Myspace and the later rang Yohann (the first bass player) to join them.
Three month later, Kochka recorded an 8 track demo CD at Gaël's home studio.
Yohann then left us to come closer to his family in britany and Romain came in as the new addition to the band for some gigs.
Kochka members can't wait to share their impassioned music with you.
